Marta Alexandrovna is pleased to announce the launch of her latest collection which she has titled ‘Naked Art’. The series of paintings was created by imprinting paint from her body onto the canvas. The technique is a unique and innovative style of expressing art through the naked body by imprint. One of the rarest phenomena today is printing by means of an imprint because science and technology have stepped forward – and only a few continue to preserve and create this art.  This was the reason to continue and supplement. The main idea is the body. The body of a woman, which has undergone a transformation from a girl, a woman, and to a mother. As confirmation of that very miracle, the continuation of the human race. The artist Marta Alexandrovna decided to use her own body to imprint the paints because her body has gone through all kinds of female transformations. 

M.A. is an artist from Miami, who was born in Ukraine, a participant in Miami Art Basel 2018-2019, Miami Trade Expo 2018, has been exhibiting her works since 2014 all over the world. Her main style is painting and experimental expressionism in oil paints. The new collection “Naked Art” was exhibited at Miami Art Basel 2021 is in acrylic. What to expect from her in the future remains a mystery.

‘UKRAINE’ is not the first work from the new collection “Naked Art”, but a very long-awaited one. This work especially reveals the whole soul of the artist and is considered very symbolic, because M.A. was born and began her career as an artist in Ukraine. All the flavor, the stormy amount of talents, the teaching system, and culture will remain in her forever as a reminder of the place she was born and raised.

‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ is a work that represents the present period in the life of the artist. For four years in the country, she was able to feel all the difficulties and joys of life at the same time. It is a country that makes citizens become stronger and more powerful, never give up and go only forward. The artist’s career reached the world level thanks to exhibitions in this country. This work also has a direct connection with the artist’s daughter, since she was born in America. This country will forever remain dear and special.

‘CUBA’ is also part of the Naked Art collection. Although the artist has never been to Cuba, she lives in the city of Miami, a city where there are many persons of Cuban nationality. Every day displays Cuban culture and the taste of Cuban cuisine. The work is a declaration of love for her husband, and respect for his nationality. The very same Cuban whom the artist met won her heart and he is also the father of their daughter. The works of art “Ukraine”, “United States of America” and “Cuba” were created together, and they can be called a triptych “Family”.

This collection is just an example of the creative expressions which she has personally developed and presented since 2014. In some instances, she is the first to use a particular style, medium, or technique. For example, she effectively pioneered the use of a black background which has grown in popularity with other artists. She applies the black paint to the canvas for contrast purposes. Other artists have sought to use black canvas as the background.

She states, “I’m not afraid of experiments in art, and I translate my ideas into reality. Art is all that surrounds us. Every person is an artist. I love to give the world beauty with my paintings. I consider Salvador Dali, Vincent Van Goh, and Pablo Picasso to be the main influencers on my style. You can see  the similarities by browsing her online catalog of paintings.” 

Marta is the originator of a unique technique of combining colors, a self-taught technique in oil. She drew her information from old books of literature on the restoration of paintings in a museum. She is not afraid to use bold colors in the finished creations. Art collectors and dealers can find similarities to the artists considered ahead of their time in her paintings. 

The piece “Big Fish” was marked by Chinese art critics as the most interesting, at her special exhibition in Guangzhou 2017. The oil on canvas measures 120cm x 90cm and was completed in 2016. Her catalog contains several self-portraits in addition to the ‘Naked Art’ collection. Other flower pictures generally work from a theme color which can be strong or muted, depending upon the style.
