Discovering the ultra-small radar motion sensor at online shopping malls
TheUMS Co., Ltd. (CEO Shin Kyo-seong) is a company that manufactures radar motion detection sensors. Its main product is the AIM24 series, an all-in-one 24 GHz radar motion detection sensor that integrates a radar-based antenna and controller.
The radar motion sensor made by TheUMS with the brand name AIM24 began selling on online shopping malls such as Eleparts and Devicemart in Korea in January this year, and so TheUMS products have been made available to various customer bases offline and online. (See link below.)
AIM24 main functions:

AIM24-Family applicable areas
• AIM24-Family is a module that can be used in various markets such as the field of lighting, doors, Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile, noncontact market, and smart factory, and design flexibility can be provided based on the product’s advantage of miniaturization.
One customer uses AIM24 (TheUMS product) to configure and sell a system linked to an Arduino board that supports Wi-Fi; this can be checked on the TheUMS website.
This system also supports a mobile phone app so that users can receive product data in real time on their mobile phones.
The business and sales targets of TheUMS are not only customers in Korea but in various other countries, and it signed a contract with a Japanese company in 2019 and has been receiving favorable feedback on its performance in the Japanese market. Therefore, a smooth market expansion is expected and the plan is to enter and expand into the markets of various countries such as the United States, UK and China in 2022.

The family name of the product AIM24 also carries the meaning of aiming at or advancing toward a goal. CEO Shin explained, “The AIM24 motion sensor is a product that has never existed before. It is a product designed to be used in various environments, and it will change the landscape of the existing radar sensor market.”
