Modest Collection Relaunches Their Hajj Collection After Umrah Reopens To Foreign Pilgrims
In 2015, Modest Collection brought covered-up fashion trends with a large variety of Kurti, Tunic, Top, and Vest following the western patterns that are user friendly for the young ladies either students or working women in Bangladesh who have struggled maintaining their hijab, even niqab at some point. These consumers have found these Kurtis, Tunics, and Vests in comfortable, lightweight, and sustainable materials as the fine alternative to Burqa. And have been using these as their hijab outfits since then.
In addition, Modest Collection released their Hajj Collection in 2015 targeting Abaya, Khimar, Jilbab, Burqa, Hijab collections to be comfortable according to the country’s weather; featuring pockets in the clothes. Their Hajj and Umrah collection initially got popular amongst the consumers of Bangladesh. Later, the venture started getting orders from abroad too. Their Jilbab and Khimar collection got widely popular amongst the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. But after covid-19 outbreak, KSA closed its borders to battle coronavirus for nearly 18 months. And Modest Collection, whose targeted customer was pilgrims, was affected with this situation. However, after the Umrah reopens for the foreign citizens, the brand is hopeful that their new arrivals are going to be popular, as it was before.

Context: Fariza Binte Bulbul has launched Modest Collection initially as an online start-up by opening a Facebook business page with the aim of setting up a modest fashion brand in Bangladesh. Later, this start-up came up with two physical outlets in Dhanmondi Shimanto Square mall and in Zamzam Tower located in Uttara. Online orders can be placed from anywhere in the world, there are safe and secured payment gateways on the website. Modest Collection however has seven social media presence including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest.
