Lifestyle Brand Blvck Paris Continues Its International Expansion, With The Opening Of Its First Physical Store In Tokyo, Japan

Paris, France – Other colors may occasionally have their moment in the spotlight, but for anyone who believes that black is (and will always be) the new black, there is an affordable luxury lifestyle brand for you – Blvck Paris (blvck.com). Launched in 2017, Blvck Paris offers its customers a recheré assortment of high-quality men’s, women’s, and unisex streetwear; unique accessories and digital goods, all presented exclusively in the company’s namesake color.

 

“I have always had an obsession with the color black and used it to apply my personal stamp to everyday household items,” O’hayon continues. “For example, I turned a bag of M&M’s all black and posted the result on Instagram. The image, and others like it, quickly went viral and spurred an influx of international followers, especially from the US and Asia. I knew then that I had a concept I should explore further.”

 

Although black may be ubiquitous season after season, in O’hayon’s skillful hands, every possible shade of the color is explored to great effect through variations in texture, finish, and fabric.

 

In addition to its Blvck.com retail website, Blvck Paris offered its customers the opportunity to experience the line in person with several openings of pop up stores worldwide. The shop’s monochrome aesthetic runs through every element of the retail experience from its design to unexpected additions like black ice cream, and a limited edition 3-ft. Blvck Teddy bear.

 

A pop-up opened in New Yaohan in Macau in May 2021, followed by the brand’s first physical space in the US, in Miami at Showfields in June 2021. The brand just announced the opening of its first physical pop up store in Tokyo at Parco Shibuya this month, followed by a pop up store in Hong Kong at Sogo and its first flagship store in Taipei at A3, both in September.

What’s next for Blvck Paris?

“Our online business has boomed in the last year and we have adapted by offering digital goods for the first time,” states O’hayon. “In addition to the clothing, we want to bring the ‘all-black everything’ lifestyle to our customers with our exclusive digital goods,” says O’hayon. The global lifestyle brand Blvck announced its second NFT drop ‘DARKMODE02’ on MakersPlace, each of these artworks have been meticulously created from the music to every detail in the animation by creative director and founder, Julian O’hayon.
