Fit First Youth Fitness Training Embraces Socially-Distanced Outdoor Classes To Keep Children Active, Engaged During COVID-19 Pandemic

Irvine, CA – Fit First, a youth-focused fitness and education company, is reimagining the fitness and socialization experience for children in the age of the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to keep children active and engaged, Fit First Youth Fitness Training has announced expanded camps and classes that are physically and socially distanced outdoors in sunny Orange County, California.

Each class has been designed to keep children engaged to help them overcome the challenges of the pandemic, by supporting an environment that is active, mentally engaging, socially connected, and free of stress and anxiety. Hosting fitness classes in small group settings, Fit First is offering general fitness and yoga classes that combine cardio and strength training, as well as tennis and boxing classes for children ranging from preschool to preteens. While most are offered in group settings, private or virtual classes are also available to promote accessibility for the most at-risk children and families.

“Unfortunately, for the past several decades, children’s health and fitness have fallen by the wayside,” remarked Adam Krell, Founder and Head Coach of Fit First Youth Fitness Training. “This was exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, with children cut from the little activity and socialization they had left. At Fit First, we are helping children and their families overcome this pressing social challenge by creating a positive outlet for energy, activity, and engagement, all while helping children improve their fitness, stamina, and balance. Despite being socially distanced, children can still explore important concepts like socialization, work ethic, teamwork, and confidence.”

On the brink of another period of self-isolation and virtual learning, Fit First is helping children and families overcome unhealthy habits, such as being stationary for extended periods or having too much screen time. With outdoor business operations and gatherings allowed, children are increasingly taking advantage of Fit First’s outdoor camps for a safe, healthy physical and emotional outlet.
