Kickstarter Campaign to Build a Craft Distillery in the Historic Jell-O Factory in LeRoy, New York
Earl Funderburk is a New York based businessman, and he has proudly announced that restoring a historic Jell-O Factory in New York by converting it into a craft distillery. Earl believes in preserving the local history and he needs support to obtain the licenses and permits required to successfully turn this factory into a working distillery. Therefore, he has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds and support for the completion of this process, and this is why he is asking for community support and backing. This is one of a kind project which not only aims at preserving the rich local culture, but also aims to support the local economy of Western New York.
“We are breathing new life into the historical Jell-O factory complex by using it for a distillery business with the goal of preserving this important part of our local history.” Said Earl Funderburk, while introducing this project to the Kickstarter community. “We need your help in getting through the licensing and permitting processes, which includes the costs of application fees, attorneys, consultants, architectural planning, and minor modifications to the building to bring it up to the required codes.” He added. According to Earl, he will be hiring Western New York firms and resources to ensure that the funds raised through this campaign will be pumped directly back into the Western New York economy.
