Experts Share the Camping Packing List – As Almost Half of Brits Take an Annual Trip

42% of Brits go camping at least once a year. That’s according to the findings of a recent camping poll, which quizzed 2,000 Brits.

The same poll also found that the Lake District is still Brits’ favourite camping spot.

While almost half of Brits will camp annually, there are some far keener people amongst us too. For more than 1 in 10 people, camping is something they do at least every 2 months, making for an average of 6 trips per year.

Millions will likely make their first ever camping trips this year and if that’s you, experts at Ubuy compiled a comprehensive list of kit required.

A spokesperson told us:

“There are so many lists out there of essential items like tents, cooking stoves and things. I we think it’s important to list the essentials for first time campers. But camping is meant to be fun. So we added thing to our list that are non essential but help make the trip. A mini speaker, for example. Over a third of Brits use Spotify according to our data, and you don’t even need signal to listen to music with an app like that. So we included entertainment options and other things that you don’t necessarily need but that you might want!”

Ubuy shared their list:

  • Tents and other tent components
  • A mallet
  • Spare tent pegs just in case

This section of the list is the non-essentials but they are really fun!

A spokesperson at Ubuy added, “As camping season approaches in the UK, we hope everyone planning a trip has a brilliant time.”
