Air Shield Technologies Introduces Several Patent Pending HVAC Technologies That Will Remove COVID-19 Pathogens From Public Spaces
Ensuring uniform air temperature in enclosed space implies maximum mixing of air which requires a turbulent flow. The indoor air supplied by such a traditional HVAC system, then by definition, carries and distributes microscopic Covid-19 particles uniformly in the enclosed space, which poses a serious risk to the occupants.

Montreal, Quebec – September 25, 2020 – The economy of every country on this planet has been devastated as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Engineers and Biologists from all over the world are scrambling to develop not only a vaccine, but a methodology for destroying and eliminating the virus from public spaces, such as: schools, offices, restaurants, public transportation, etc.

This is when the best of mankind will step forward and bring about a solution. Citizens of the world do not want a “New Normal”, they want it to be like it used to be. It will take a pioneer to step-up to the plate, and one has emerged. Irfan Atatekin, the founder of Air Shield Technologies, is a Canadian Senior Electro-Mechanical Designer with over 30 years of experience in Aerospace and high technology applications. He has developed a solution that may solve the problem of destroying and removing airborne Coronavirus Pathogens from public spaces.

During a recent press event, Irfan made these comments, “It has been only recently acknowledged that the primary mode of transmission of the highly contagious COVID-19 virus is by air and that the virus can stay afloat in the air for many hours. Traditional Ventilation Systems are based on supplying warm air when it is cold outside and supplying cold air when it is hot outside, therefore require a maximum mixing of ventilated air in an enclosed space to provide uniform air temperature.”

He goes on to say, “Ensuring uniform air temperature in enclosed space implies maximum mixing of air which requires a turbulent flow. The indoor air supplied by such a traditional HVAC system, then by definition, carries and distributes microscopic Covid-19 particles uniformly in the enclosed space, which poses a serious risk to the occupants. Recognizing this fundamental problem of transmission by air, AST believes that the only way to beat this airborne virus is by airborne tools. The proposed “Vertical Ventilation™ Technology” is in full compliance with the “ASHRAE Position Document on Infectious Aerosols.”

VVT® (Vertical Ventilation Technology®) simply works as if there is no roof on top so the air suspended virus particles can be sucked out by the ventilation system. Patent pending Vertical Ventilation® System (VVS) design which based on creating a matrix of uniformly distributed laminar flow air columns covering complete volume of indoor space.

VVS stops COVID-19 transmission by quickly evacuating any airborne COVID particles through Vertical Ventilation Diffusers (VVD) uniformly installed as part of a suspended ceiling. The design purpose is not to let aerosol particles linger in the air, but to take them out of the indoor space as soon as possible.

AST is offering a free WHITE PAPER on VVT® which can be obtained by logging into the website. AST seeks an HVAC Manufacturing Partner to carry out Proof of Concept testing and manufacturing of the Vertical Ventilation® systems designed and patented by AST.
