Just One More Ministry Receives $30,000 in Support of their Mission from Rebel Converting
Milwaukee, WI – Loretta Kryshak of Rebel Reform, Rebel Converting’s social outreach arm, is pleased to announce a charitable contribution of $30,000 to Just One More Ministry (JOMM).
JOMM is a local nonprofit organization that cares for Milwaukee’s poor redistributing food to more than 75 Milwaukee inner-city churches, food pantries, and organizations serving the homeless, the poor, women, children, the elderly, and veterans.
“We are incredibly grateful to Rebel Converting for their $30,000 donation to Just One More Ministry. This donation will enable us to expand our outreach program to those families who would otherwise not have benefitted from our program,” stated Chris Capper, Founder, and CEO of JOMM
This commitment follows the company’s collaboration with JOMM to help assemble and distribute over one million face masks to the community to help fight COVID-19.
“What they’ve done is nothing short of miraculous,” said owners Mike and Loretta Kryshak of Rebel Reform. “Everyone involved with Just One More Ministry has put their heart and soul into this initiative.
In early April of 2020, the need for face masks outpaced the supply as most face masks were going to healthcare providers and their patients. As a result of massive demand, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of hospital-grade disinfectant wipes, Rebel Converting, owned by Mike and Loretta Kryshak, committed to donating their fabric to make 1,000,000 no-sew face mask kits.
Rebel Converting soon partnered with Ignite Change, which gave birth to the movement #MaskUpMKE raising awareness for the masks as kits or ready-to-use face masks at no charge to the public.
Soon after many local businesses stepped up to the plate to help assemble and distribute the masks. One of those organizations was JOMM, which shouldered the largest part of the task. Thus, Rebel Converting created a matching grant challenge in which Rebel Converting would donate $25 for every completed box of face masks that were assembled. With 700 face masks per box and 1200 boxes to complete, JOMM completed the challenge and has, to date, distributed over one million face masks throughout the Greater Milwaukee area.
As of today, the movement is well on its way to distributing over 3.5 million face masks.
