Secure Components Backs Efforts Of Physician-Led Group Urging Officials to Mandate Masks When School Resumes in the Fall

Norristown, PA – A prominent physician-led group in Canada has requested that the Alberta government make masks mandatory for school reopening plans in the fall. Speaking on behalf of Masks4Canada, Dr. Amy Tan urges leaders to make masks mandatory for all Canadian students when school is back in session. Mask4Canada is a grassroots effort comprised of both physicians and citizens. Its list of members includes doctors, scientists, business owners, lawyers, teachers, and parents united by shared concern over the safety of teachers and educators in the face of COVID-19. Masks4Canada would specifically like to see mask mandates in place for all indoor spaces outside the home, crowds, and means of public or communal transit.

Secure Components supports Masks4Canada’s efforts to mandate masks for indoor spaces, says COO Stephan Halper. Mask requirements are sure to be the norm throughout North America, and the rest of the world as millions of children and teachers return to the classroom.

Many school districts and schools are now needing to source PPE including N-95 masks before classes begin to meet compliance requirements. “We’re watching the situation as closely as possible because we’re one of the few suppliers in the United States that was already strategically positioned to help fill the heavy demand even before COVID-19,” says Halper. Secure Component is a firm that has longstanding vendor contracts with several federal agencies. The company also supplies N-95 masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) first to front line workers and then makes N-95 masks available (NEED TO SAY WE OFFER IT FIRST TO HEALTHCARE and THEN TO PUBLIC. The leadership team at Secure Components is currently working hard to get out the message to school districts that it is currently accepting new contracts.

“We would recommend your company to any other health providers considering partnering to secure vital PPE during this crisis,” says the CEO of Universal Health Services in a memo endorsing the services and supplies provided Secure Components. Universal Health Services is just one of many enterprises that have opened contracts with Secure Components during COVID-19 to ensure that both staff members and clients can operate safely.

Secure Components urges school districts and schools to reach out to the company if they need vetted, authentic N-95 masks and other forms of PPE. The company is familiar with fulfilling high-volume, ongoing contracts due to its experience as an official vendor of the Department of Defense (DoD), NASA and other government agencies.
