Christmas Designers, one of the leading Christmas light suppliers in the United States, is proud to celebrate 40 years of distributing Christmas lights. To commemorate this major milestone, the company has decided to offer a 40 percent off sale on much of its vast lighting selection.
When Christmas Designers first began in the 1970s, the Long family’s entire enterprise “operated out of a rented box truck in a Denny’s parking lot.” Decades later, the firm now has an administrative headquarters in Florida and a 120,000 square foot distribution center in Texas. Christmas Designers has worked with residential and commercial light buyers across the country and has even had some international clients.
The company has proudly supplied Christmas lights for Walt Disney World, Six Flags, the Oregon Zoo, Marriott Hotels, and many other recognizable places and organizations. On an annual basis, the firm works with about 1,500 professional installers and “tens of thousands of Christmas enthusiasts.” The company’s culture, commitment to quality, and ambition have enabled it to become “the largest, strictly Christmas supply and installation business in the United States.”
Over the course of 40 years, Christmas Designers witnessed many changes within its industry. While Christmas lights in the 1970s were usually of the fluorescent and incandescent varieties, modern Christmas lights are almost all made using LED lighting technology. Because these lights last longer, are better for the environment and are usually of a higher quality, these changes have been welcomed and embraced by the Christmas Designer team.
Today, the overwhelming majority of the company’s new sales are LED Christmas lights. Many of these lights have changing colors, snowfall effects, and other programmable features.
