50 Illinois schools will receive grant funding to bring STEM to their students.

NextWaveSTEM, a Chicago based Ed Tech startup that provides STEM education for K-12 students, is bringing its courses in Drones, Robotics, 3D Printers, and A.I to students across Illinois thanks to a $250,000 grant from Maverick Energy Solutions.

This grant is supporting 50 schools in accessing NextWaveSTEM courses that kick start learning with the next wave of technologies in the classroom. Schools receive curriculum, teacher training, and equipment to bring STEM courses to their in-school or after-school programs.

“We are pleased to partner with NextWaveSTEM to bring this educational opportunity to more students and teachers,” said Karl Wrobel COO and Director. “We believe that inspiring young, bright people to pursue STEM education is essential to developing the next generation of engineers and scientists, as well as creating and sustaining strong and empowered communities.”
